Guest guest
Hi Darlena, Taffy, Darlena, and all you other rashy sweaters out there, it is my understanding that if one is getting skin and foot fungal infections repeatedly, then you probably do have systemic Candida. Now there are all sorts if ways to address this, the main one being getting off sugars and yeasty foods. But here’s a tip…one of the all-time easiest treatments is Oatstraw tea. Drink it every day, lots, bathe the irritated parts in it, just lots and lots of it! You can get it cheaply in the bulk section of your health food store, it really is just oat straw, and has a mild and pleasant straw-ish taste. This works and is so much easier than some of the solutions out there! Try it for a month and see if this changes things for you. The antifungals kill the beast, but doesn’t address the underlying gut imbalance the leads to yeast overgrowth in the first place, if you don’t do this then it will just come back. Oatstraw is also great for the guts in general, and also a good blood tonic and nervous system nourisher. And, of course, you must take a good probiotic, either organic yoghurt or in pill form. This replaces the bad yeasties with good intestinal flora. Good luck! Aylwin xox
Guest guest
Yes, Candida - an overgrowth of yeast. If it is that, it is easy to diagnose. Plus, I know this sounds strange, but if it is, you can use the vaginal medications for yeast infections on your skin. I got the strongest over the counter one and the stuff cleared up over night. (If you want to linger in pain, get the 1% solution and wait 10 days) I use the " athletes' foot " powder if things start to return. It takes away the moisture and prevents the yeast from growing into a bloody mess. The smell isn't so great, but it is strong enough to bring yeast infections to their knees. Sugar (any form, including honey) encourages the growth - making the condition worse. Cultured yogurt really does calm the internal stuff, but I don't think it is a cure all, but really beneficial. Please consider going to a doc in the box for confirmation. Good luck! > > Hi Darlena, I hope I can help > a bit. I'm a big sweat-er.
