Guest guest
I have checked with several pharmacist on this and they all concur that the only difference between what we buy in the feed store or vets office is that the USP (Pharmacy grade) is inspected frequently. Basically it's the same stuff folks. At least this is what people in the know have shared with me. Fortunately I live near Portland, Oregon so I can purchase from Dr. s Labs. It's not that much more expensive. When I purchased USP before I had to get from a Florida source that sold me Gaylord Chemical DMSO USP grade (pharmacy grade). It was horribly expensive $175 bucks for 1/2 liter. Just wanted to share what I have heard from people in the know. Do not base your DMSO on anything except your own research and as Garnet said some industrial grades are out there with acetone and other things in them. Be informed consumers. Be careful of your source, but don't be afraid once you trust the source. Blessings. Micki
