Guest guest
Hello everyone. I know I haven't been on for quite some time, so I thought I would give you an update. Sam had her pace maker change in August,2005 in Salt Lake. She was out the next day and we headed back to MT the day after that. We had to put her right arm in a sling for a month so she wouldn't use it very much. The Dr. said if she used it too much the leads could separate from the pacemaker. So, it was a long month. She is doing very well now. Next week we go in to have it checked again. Now we only have to get it checked every 3 months instead of every month. She's been doing very well in pre-school. Academically she is with her age group, but the language is still lagging. I'm having her start speech therapy through the school for the summer. Since she is doing so well, they want to put her in 1/2 day kindergarten and 1/2 day pre-school next school year. That way she can get used to being in school all day. Since she is pretty much done with surgerys for quite awhile now, we started to potty train her. She is doing very well with that also. She just has a hard time telling us when she has to go poo. There are times she doesn't pee during the night, but there are times she still does, so we put pullups on at night. Thank you for listening and hope to talk to you soon.
