It sounds absolutely delicious.... I've been meaning to make some Popsicle-like treats. This would be a great next "Group Project" for those of us interested. I tried Raw Ice Cream and sadly, it really was pretty horrible. I used Eggs as a binder, shooting for a French Vanilla, but.... the recipe wasn't really for RawMilk. Maybe I needed more Cream.... Have a machine, recipe books, and everything.... Have some still in my freezer that I'm trying to give a second life as something else, but not sure how to do that..... yet. Maybe just melt it down and use it in Smoothies... the failsafe versatile mix. Hope springs eternal for recipe make-overs...sigh. Any good Raw Ice Cream Recipes or anything in the Frozen Treats Department? I make great Sorbet/Creamsicles that are disgustingly easy to make.... I'll trade ya! --Terry a yummy trick I discovered a tricky way to get good stuff into my kids...I've been making popsicles and creamsicles, and I thought I would try putting some coconut oil and x-factor butter oil in there. Here's what I did...Combined raw milk and cream (I don't measure) with a dash a vanilla, @2Tblsp. gelatin, some unsweetened crushed pineapple and juice, @1 c pure virgin coconut oil, and @4 TBLsp X-factor butter oil and @5 crushed bananas. warmed just a wee bit, and whisked all together. Poured into popsicle molds, froze, and yum! the kids love them. Now if I can figure how to sneak the cod liver oil, fish oil, flax seed oil, we'll be all set. Guest guest Posted May 23, 2004 Report Share Posted May 23, 2004 I learned this from raw food enthusiasts: Freeze the ingredients then put them in a (Vitamix) high power blender or (Champion or Green Power) masticating juicer. The result is a frozen custard style ice cream. You could mix the ingredients before freezing but I have separately frozen milk, eggs and fruit and tossed them in the blender with unheated honey for instant ice cream. You could freeze the liquid ingredients in ice cube trays or in shallow pans. With pans, it helps to slice the partially frozen liquid in strips and then finish freezing. .... Pause ...
