This is a type of " water pill " that is pretty hard on the system. YOU

MUST have extra potassium if you are taking this more than 2 days.

PLEASE make sure the Dr. gave him a Rx. for it.

Water intake is very important with water retention that is why all most

all the HCV sites have notes about water intake.

Even if you are not " doing treatment " the clear water in helps the body

pull off the water that is building up in the bodies cells.

I know some people who got their own blood pressure down by drinking

water!! Really this is a key in any state of health.

I hope that this helps.. and Lasix is the pits " or should I say a pit

stop! "

Lasix is a nasty drug. Yes it will deplete you of vital ntrients like potassium.

A lot of people don't know this but the reason your body retains water is

possibly due to not drinking enough water. If you are on treatment it is

recommended 4 to 5 quarts a day. If not on treatmet 2 to 3 quarts a day.If you

drink this amount you may find that you don't retain. My hubby's joints stopped

aching when he upped his water intake.

Just my two cents worth!
