Guest guest
I certainly believe that one!! As a child, I was ALways sensitive to horror films and such, as I would get very ill at night after seeing one. I believe that the physical makeup, specifically the adrenal glands strength, has everything to do with this. what we watch > Hi, this was passed onto me from a friend who knows I'm into filmmaking. > Check out what it says about immune system supression! > > ~ > -- > > In Life Makeovers, there's a chapter called " Mental Self Care " where I > wrote about the importance of taking good care of our mental health by > being discriminating about what we put into our eyes and ears. Guest guest
I am willing to try watching horror movies weekly to try to suppress my immune system and shrink my goiter. I will volunteer for this one-woman study. Tomorrow I am going to the video store. Guest guest
It's interesting, this whole question of do we really want to *suppress* our immune system -- is it overactive in us Hashi's folks? Or is it compromised? In a way I think it might be a little of both? I'm still not sure though so I do try to be careful... my great aunt (grandfather's sister) just got out of the hospital from having E.coli. She has been fighting lymphoma for a couple of years and her doc told her her immune system is weak which is why she got it. Well of course I immediately wanted to contribute a day or two of my time to help cook and take care of her... and she said people with colds, etc, children or people with compromised immune systems shouldn't be around her for a couple of weeks. So I don't know, does that include me?? I don't think so but just to be safe she said she doesn't want me to visit for a while. Anyway, I don't do as well under emotional extremes any more... that includes fright.. so I do tend to avoid those films. You are right about the news, Anita -- I avoid that too!! Sometimes even being " high " on joy exhausts me now! I think the ups and downs are just harder to manage. ~ > > >Hi, this was passed onto me from a friend who knows I'm into filmmaking. > >Check out what it says about immune system supression! > > > >~ > >-- > > > >In Life Makeovers, there's a chapter called " Mental Self Care " where I > >wrote about the importance of taking good care of our mental health by > >being discriminating about what we put into our eyes and ears. Guest guest
See, I never watch the news... I am totally oblivious, I only bother watching one Dateline-style news magazine show a week. I am starting my experiment tomorrow, " The Devil's Spine " is gonna show on cable. Jan Anita Wagner wrote: I think watching the nightly news will suffice! Guest guest
when you have high antibody activity, it is overactive for sure. That is my case - thyroid is swollen, lymph nodes are swollen, and I feel like I have a constant flu. Right now a little suppression would do me good.
