Guest guest
In a message dated 8/26/2001 4:16:24 AM Eastern Daylight Time, OBnurses writes: We have 8 induction slots a day: 2 at 7, 2 at 8, 2 at 11, and 2 at 5pm....our manager x's out some of them if we are short staffed. So far so good.... , just curioous since we are doing the same with slots, however we only have 5 slots per day. How do you staff these scheduled inductions? Do you have the same nurse do the two at 7 or what? We have found most of the time the docs schedule their patients at the same time and then it doesnt work for getting them started out having the same nurse. The doc goes into one room, breaks bag or places cytotec, internals whatever, then goes right on to the next room so the nurse has to follow him over to do that pt. Then she's behind in charting etc. How are you handling this? Jan
Guest guest
Oh my goodness no. One can only hope that the rest of the board isn't too busy so that we go through all the nurses that are on for those pts first, then there are usually 2 or 3 nurses under the "admit" section, so the first one to get there gets the first on the list the second one gets the second nurse and so on. We try to never have one person admit two people at once, though of course it happens not on purpose...if we dont have enough staff we call in the call person... Guest guest
on what we would do in case of an epidemic in the nsy. Anyone have a policy out there they could briefly tell to me? I don't know if we have a policy or not but last year there were some parents with some infection and their baby died and some others go sick. They closed the nursery and everything was cleaned with a clean rag for every swipe. Nursery is closed unit those nurses don't go anywhere now but OB nurses can get pulled if we're slow but not to isolation rooms which is silly because you never know when someone might have something before it's tested for and then we go into rooms with babies. I don't remember what it was those people had.

Guest guest
Have you begun treatment yet? I'd go visit your dermatologist. The treatment triggered a psoriasis flare in me. Over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream is probably ok on your face though. Guest guest
Doug, I am new to the Hep C group and saw your posting. I did not know that Hep C could go away. My neice has it from IV drug use and I thought it stays with you forever. Can you give me some details???? I would like to learn as much as possible, so I can educate her. Thanks, Holly

I most likely contracted hepatitis c from IV drug use in 1976. My conscientious doctor found it in 1999. I went through two rounds of treatment. The first was from 2000 to 2001 using daily injections of Infergen. The second was from 2002 to 2003 using weekly injections of Pegasys and oral Copegus daily. Treatment for hepatitis c genotype 1 typically lasts for 48 weeks. If, at the end of treatment, one is virus negative, that is known as a complete virological response (CVR). The objective of hepatitis c treatment is sustained virological response (SVR). SVR is defined at being virus negative 24 weeks after the end of treatment. There is a less than 2% chance of the virus returning if SVR is achieved. Guest guest
Lance Thanks for your thoughts. My Viral Load is undetectable! My white count is low, so I know my immune system is having a hard time shaking the lung congestion/pleurisy. Still congested on my right lung. The intense pain is gone from the pluerisy, I only have one more day of prednisone meds. However, it threw off my blood clotting times, for an INR of 5.1 today...so I have to be careful I don't run into anything! I take a blood thinner because I have a mechanical aortic heart valve. I'm rambling! Sorry-- > Hope that Pleurisy is taken care of. How is ur viral count? > You're in my thoughts. I am looking for an article called "Contraception and Chastity" published in 1974 by the British philosopher, Gertrude Margaret Anscombe (G.E.M. Anscombe). Miss Anscombe died in January of 2001 and the article is mentioned in her obit published in First Things in May of that year. No mention of the journal, magazine or the like is cited. So... any of you scholars out there know where I can get a copy? Many thanks, Terry Maes

Guest guest
this is also taught by Gilbert Renaud of VancouverIt is called Total Biology or Recalll Healing, at www.totalbiology.caI have taken one year training, been a patient, and it is highly effective with my patients Zieve, m.D. Dear UNDA Group, Do you know about German New Medicine(GNM)? Those of us who love homeopathy and UNDA medicine, will find that GNM fits perfectly with our phylosophy. Many NDs do not know about this wonderful naturopathic approach to healing cancer and other chronic disease. A few years back we posted an announcement for a level I seminar in Vancouver. Some of us UNDA group members attended. I would like to invite each of you to consider watching an inexpensive 1 hour introductory webinar on Feb 14 at 10 AM Pacific time. (Yes it is Valentines Day but it is an early presentation) If there is enough interest here in Seattle/Portland area, I can arrainge for seminars to start here. To find out more about this wonderful therapy go to www.newmedicine.ca I have no finacial interest/innvolvement with the teaching of GNM. I know that the reason it is not used more by all of us physicians and natural healers is just a lack of knowledge that it is available to us. Guest guest
Dear , People wishing GNM information should study with Dr. Hamer's student, Ms Laker. I have to say that I do not believe the Mr Renaud is teaching GNM. Dr Hamer, is alive and treating patients today. What Dr Hamer teaches and discovered is called German New Medicine and not Total Biology. Ilsadora Laker has been personally trained many years ago by Dr Hamer. She has published (some translation) from his native German (with his permission), some of his books and the new charts for GNM that Dr. Hamer has created. Students looking to be trained in the original teaching of Dr Hamer should look to Ms Laker for the work. Dr Hamer has cured over 26,000 cases (reviewed in a court case) of cancer now, well, that is a pretty good record and I prefer to get closer to the original teaching, since it is available. You may personally email to talk further out of the group on this subject if you would like. melanie@... Guest guest
This is getting to be a common thing, especially with hotmail accounts. Some kind of malware gets in and sends out e-mail links to random people in their address book. Note 2 important things: The person it says it is from may not always be the actual sender, it could be a random address the program picked from the actual sender's address book Clicking on the link is one way these program propagate themselves. Jim 'practice safe net-surfing' Prego ND Islip NY a is an ND and I am guessing her email got hacked. It''s been happening a lot lately to people.
