Guest guest
I have been researching the use of PEMF to treat MS for some time. My wife has successfully stopped her MS progressing with LDN www.low dose naltrexone.org Good though those results are major symptom reversal is unlikely. It seems however some doctors have achieved major symptom reversal with PEMF and NASA have endorsed the work of one of those doctors as a result of a 4 year study into the subject the results of which were published in 2003. I am now seeking to buy or make equipment to try this treatment on my wife. The specification is AC sine wave adjustable between 2-13 HZ producing a magnetic field strength of 7.5 Picotesla between a headphone type device for women or from a plate type device for men. I would suggest the output of the unit should be adjustable to an extent. I am seeking suggestions as to suitable equipment. 3 elements are required. 1 Headphone type device to conduct the treatment though. 2 Frequency generator to drive 1 3 Measuring equipment to measure the output wave form and field strength. Suggestions for any item or all items appreciated. So that I do not miss any replies I would be grateful if replies could be copied to davidtaylor@... Whilst the motive for this email is to seek information on how to do this, I am happy to share the data (reports and articles) that has lead me to come to the conclusion this is a good think to do for MS. Guest guest
In may and June, 2005 I investigated PEMF and concluded that it would be worthwhile for me to get one for my MS. At my request my neurologist gave me a prescription for LDN and a PEMF device. The prescription was general and I have not yet filled it. My insurance covers PEMF devices as "durable medical" at 100% without any lifetime maximum payout. Unfortunately the durable medical suppliers on the approved list have no idea what it is or assert that they do not cover it. In order to get it paid for I will have to re-educate myself on why it is important so I can educate my doctor so he can educate the insurance claims department. All this to say that I agree that PEMF seems to hold promise. A physical therapist friend of mine tells me that these devices are regularly used to enhance bone re-growth. If you are looking for a commercial device, this may be an avenue to pursue. Good luck. Let us know what you learn.
