Guest guest
Can doctors withhold your medical records if you have a past-due balance with them? Maxine
Guest guest
I don't think they can withhold your medical records Maxine due to a financial situation. Margaret
Guest guest
Well, you could call the state medical board and ask them if that is legal and ethical. Of course, your attorney should know that. Is there any way that your attorney could draw up an agreement with the doctor that they would be paid in full when you get your disability settlement? Guest guest
Hi Maxine, I'm not sure if you are responding to me? but calling the medical board sounds like a good idea. I'm getting more good advice from this group than the attorneys! Thanks, Norma
