Unavoidable yes, useful I´m not sure. What should I do with it? What

should I use it for? I think that is an old myth that many

therapists seem to like and believe (my story).

*****It's not so much what you " should do " with anger. It's taking

the arising of anger -- and this would be valid for any upset -- as a

smoke signal. There is some communication going on within the psyche

(often unconscious to conscious). Often anger is the surface emotion

of fear. Using anger as a wakeup call, it may be possible to touch

and befriend the provoking emotion underneath it.

Ok, anger comes from fear. I hear that.

What you say about anger arising and the " smoke signal " , I wonder and

ask myself:

anger is arising - can I absolutely know that it is *anger*? Who would

I be without this thought?

Thank you for holding my thought in that moment.

Love,

*****No, you can't. There is nothing one can know " absolutely " with

the possible exception of " I am " -- when one is, of course! :-)))

The upset, the discord that appears may or may not be " anger. " The

actual naming of the sensation is probably not significant. If one

pays attention, however, one can tell if there is dis-ease happening

and it is that sensation -- whatever its flavor or color -- that may

be a calling out, from one part of the psyche to another.
