Guest guest
Hi, Kathleen - I hope that Sam's good suggestion might help you and that you'll be able to stay on the 'net...wouldn't that be great? I'm on AOL, too, and at year's end, I'll drop it in favor of a DSL. So what I plan to do - big task! - is click on my Favorite Places and copy and paste each URL as it appears in the bar onto my message pad. I'll then turn it into a .txt message and will have everything once we leave AOL. It's some work, but you'll have all your favorite sites then. Most important, here's hoping that Jim - who's in such good company, unfortunately, these days - will find some new work he enjoys. These are scary times, I know.... You should just be able to open up Internet Explorer, click on File, Import and Export, and import your aol favourites into Explorer. That way, no matter what internet provider you go with, you files should all still be there. (unless aol is so proprietary that it won't share) -- Lyndi
Guest guest
Kathleen and any others that it helped, I am so glad to hear that I was able to lend a hand. I know how difficult these times are. I know we aren't supposed to get on the subject of politics but I'll take a small dab here to say that I'll be so glad when the government officials, whomever they may be in the near future, realize that this country can't continue on the path we have been on for the past three, almost four, years. We need work, a better economy, better healthcare, more prescription options and cheaper prescriptions, and better benefits for all. Here is to hoping this year will be a better year than the last. Glad I could help someone. Take care all. Blessed Be, ************************************************** internet freebie help.

When I signed on to this list, I had no idea I'd be surrounded by so many kind people eager to help! I'm very appreciative, especially since I wasn't looking forward to the loooong and grueling process of changing bookmarks Have a great Valentine's Day tomorrow,
Guest guest
Hi Kathleen We used to have AOL but now we use 36 Networks. It is much cheaper and works just fine. I certainly hope you will be back asap I really enjoy your posts. We were without a phone for several months last year and I thought I would go nuts between that and not having internet access. I find that internet access is very important to my mental health. I will miss you also. Your friend Kaylene >When we have a new provider I'll try to rejoin. I'll miss all of you. > >Kathleen in Calif. > >PS >I'm going to go have a good cry now. > > >
