Q- Chronic Constipation

Hello everyone,

I have a 66 yo female who has had a long history of

constipation. She has been taking OTC laxatives qd

for years to have a b.m. She has a pretty healthy

diet, drinks lots of water, and exercises regularly.

Constipation runs in her family and in the past when

she would increase her fruits, veggies and water it

would help. NO longer...

She has had a colonoscopy recently and had a small

polyp which was removed.

She has been on AB long term for rosacea, which she

just discontinued after my visit.

My treatment plan: HMF 1 tsp qd, seeds, COP, water,

apple cider vinegar before meals, Gammodyn.

I also told her to not take her laxatives every day

and her body would take time to get into a normal

routine again.

She waited five days, giving herself two fleet

enemas, and then took her laxative. On the sixth day

had a b.m.

Does anyone have any recommendations for me? Any

products that may help with this? Any ideas for me to

consider?

Thank you,

Hageman, ND

Hi , I have had a number of patients with chronic constipation. What I did for them was: 1) Dysbiosis therapy (along with basic drainage of liver, of course) 2) Constitutional homeopathy. Dysbiosis therapy works well, but, in my experience, it can take much longer than Constitutional homeopathy in treatment of constipation. Overnight (literally speaking), you can turn constipation around if you find the correct homeopathic remedy. And, if so, they don't usually have to continue to take numerous medicines everyday month after month to treat their constipation. If you don't do homeopathy, then start dysbiosis therapy which will definitely make a difference for their constipation. I like Priority one's Caprylic plus (it will kills bacteria, yeasts, and parasites) for dysbiosis

therapy. HMF is necessary, of course. HMF Replete (1/2 a packet a day or even 1 daily) can be used in place of a laxative, and in some cases works very well to maintain good daily BMs, but not a cure by itself. Castor oil packs can make a huge difference as well. Best wishes. Sharum Sharif Best wishes. Hayter wrote: Hello everyone,I have a 66 yo female who has had a long history ofconstipation. Hi ,

I just had a patient who was having 1 BM/week! She is now going 1-2x daily

simply with 2Tbsp ground flax seed and 1g magnesium/day in divided doses. I

used regular Mg citrate, not magnelevures b/c I was looking for the osmotic

effect. I know this has not gotten to the cause, but at least she is moving

things out!

Good Luck,

D
