Guest guest
P.S What about the book: Conversation with god by Neale Walsch ? This guy ostensibly where talking to GOD? My deep question would be: GOD who? " THE GOD " ? The one who create the world in 6 days, that GOD? The one who broke the Red Sea into 2 so that the Israelis could pass? The one who is everywhere and is good ('s god)? The one who helped MACCABI Tel-Aviv basket-ball team to win the European championship (After they won, the coach PINI GERSHON always thank god for that one, so... Maybe god is in the opening five?) I am confused so many GODS Can I just have one GOD TO GO(d) - take away? I went to Neale Walsch site: http://www.cwg.org/index2.html And I saw that there is this new book called: WHAT GOD WANTS... Let me quote: " Be careful. This book is dangerous. It explores with startling freshness the most important question you could ever ask, and offers with breathtaking courage the most extraordinary answer you could ever imagine. " *answer you could ever imagine* In Tami's words, you are going to hear Neale Walsch's story of GOD. As I read his first book (Conversation with god), in 1 day, I was thrilled. I actually belied it was *THE TRUTH* and that this is the *REAL GOD* I have been waiting for. Now I can see it was just a story of GOD, that matched mine, and it was love in first site. One last thing: Religious People who go to church / synagog / mosque not idolater (is this the right word?) GOD but there stories of GOD! I have a story that... God doesn't want me to eat a pig I don't eat a pig I idolater my story of GOD, not GOD himself. That is my story of god Any questions? T -- answering Steve's question hi Steve, a couple weeks ago you asked me if i believe in God, or a higher power. i've spent all this time thinking about that...a lot. the short answer is: i don't know. i've heard so many different interpretations as to what God is, what God is not, God is personal, God is impersonal, God doesn't even know of our existence here, God is everything and everywhere, God is nothing and nowhere and is therefor everything and everywhere, and a million other things about God. if God exists, i think all the concepts about " it " must just obscure the supposed reality of " it " . i know i went through a period starting in my early twenties when i was actively searching for God. i tried everything from prayer to meditation to drugs and had some interesting experiences, but never anything sustaning. i ve read about a thousand books about God and the nature of reality, and many have been fascinating and comforting, but never sustaning. my searching still exists (i don't think it will ever stop until i FIND whatever it is that i search for), but it has changed in subtle ways over the years. i certainly don't pray anymore (i don't think anyone's listening), i meditate once in a while just to relax, which is nice, and i don't even know how to get drugs anymore ; ) i think i'm pretty mad at God. it seems i see a lot of people discovering what God is, and i feel left out. i just don't see the point of having to feel separate in the first place. i hope to understand someday. thanks for asking me this question Steve. love, jeremy
