Guest guest
The 100 mg dosage was not changed, just the frequency. Increased to days 18, 20, 22, 24, 26 instead of just days 18, 21, 24. The progesterone is a compounded injectable, a mix of micronized natural progesterone (plant derived, no synthetic) in sesame oil. My pharmacy mixes 100 mg to 1 cc(ml) oil, but some mix 100 mg/2cc. It is injected on those days to simulate the post-ovulatory progesterone rise because I have PCOD and usually don’t ovulate until around day 40. After that, my post-ovulatory phase is usually only about 7 days. We start on day 18 rather than 14 to give my body a chance to ovulate on its own within reasonable time. We (Dr. and I) are hoping I will only have to do this a few cycles and “reset” my body on a normal cycle of its own. For women who normally ovulate on time but have short luteal phase, the injections are started on day 3 post-ovulation. Kim Re: Progesterone for mood ---> Hi, Thanks for that . Can you clarify the dosage 100 mg? increased to how much? Why those days ? and what was the " type " of progesterone, I'm inCanada.(sometimes the names are different) Thanks > To all: > > I thought some might like to hear my recent experience with using IM > progesterone supplementation to help with depression. Guest guest
Have you had the surgery? Ovarian Wedge Resection? Doesn't he do that for PCOD too? Guest guest
I have not had that yet, as he considers it a last resort option. Re: Re: Progesterone for mood Have you had the surgery?
