Guest guest
Hi Ladies, I'm nearing the end of my rope and thought it would be a good idea to reach out for some support. This board has provided so much knowledge to me that has been very helpful. I'm obviously going through something and am not sure what to do at this point.Just a bit of background: I've been taking thyroid meds for my sub-clinical diagnosis of being hypo for almost 9 months now. I started off with Levoxyl for two months until I switched to Dr. who was ok with me changing to Armour (.5 mcg). My numbers back in June were in the normal range even though I am still feeling somewhat tired, foggy headed, hormonal rollercoaster and low libido. I gained 6 pounds when I switched to Armour. Nothing different in life, just 6 pounds heavier. It happened overnight. I woke up 6 pounds heavier and it never budged. Dr. didn't give an explanation for that. Two months ago I went up 5 pounds and now that isn't budging. Still nothing different in life, just more weight. I exercise at least 3 times a week and am active. I have 2 kids - 9 and 3. The latter keeping me pretty busy so there isn't any time to just sit really. I work part time from home. I'm always going even though I'm tired. So what's up with all of the weight issues? I'm feeling so bloated and icky that it is getting me depressed. I don't feel good about myself and that isn't helping in the hormonal/libido arena.Last labwork:T3 total 178T4 (Thyroxine) 10.3Free T4 1.3I'm not sure what to do with this. I'm considering going off Armour to see if the weight comes off. I know that I'll be more tired than I am now and all the other symptoms will come back too -- cold extremities, low body temp, anxieties, etc.Any ideas and advice? I would really really appreciate it! Janet in Houston
