We recently received a donation to our library from a long island

mom. She is the creator of the WATCH ME LEARN VIDEO series.

For those of you who have children who are intrigued with watching

TV or seeing other children in action, or you just want to encourage

some " exposure " to an alternative to the " typical " video modeling

videos.. these would really be a good collection to take a look at.

They are in the ELIJA LIBRARY , available for our members to take a

preview look at before purchasing..

But they really are quite entertaining and nicely made :)

We also had the chance to " child tested them " with 3 other learners

over the past couple a days, all with some positive reactions --

Some of the benefits we saw with these particualr children (ranging

from 20 months to 6.5) was that it prompted some great imitation ,

recipricol commenting , models some everyday social / daily living

ideas. It also reinforces alot of the skills we try to implement

with our children in structured/ABA programs.. the lanuguage and

directions are " familiar " to how we normally interact with our

children with ASD or language deficits.

It also encouages and gives you some " programming ideas " that your

learners/children can benefit from.

So if you are thinking of a good stocking stuffer or an addition to

your video watching collection, I suggest you give these videos a

try.

There is a website

www.watchmelearn.com

I also know at

www.difflearn.com also sells them.

Enjoy them - I know we did - Thank you Beth!

Did you use the workbooks too? Just checked out the website and it looks

interesting.

Thanks,

No, when we started there was only 1 video, and no workbooks. I think the

books came out shortly before my son stopped watching on a regular basis.
