Guest guest
How do you all handle eating out? I'm new to traditional eating. I don't eat out much, but at least a couple times a week. Just wondering what your tips are for choosing the best option off a menu (although I know it won't be the healthiest).
Guest guest
Eating out is really hard. I HAVE to eat out about once a week for business. In my mind, meat is the worst, so I usually pick something veggie or seafood. Even given that, I don't eat much of it because whatever the restaurant puts on the fish or veggies is most likely msg- related. You could ask the chef to prepare the seafood without seasoning and ask for gobs of butter. On salads, you could ask for olive oil as a dressing. If I'm eating out for lunch, I bring another lunch of my own and eat it afterward or before (otherwise I'll starve for the rest of the day). When my husband and I eat out, we try pick restaurants that are organic-friendly, cook food from scratch and are not franchises or chains. I'd like to hear what others have for tips! Guest guest
I often mourn the fact that we don't live in a culture that makes it easy to eat well when out in public. I am envious of the street food in Bejing. Even what is considered bizarre! Kathy
