This morning I went back to my very first posts. What a great

experience... I read about my oh so painfull stories, and noticed that

they are gone. Instead there is peace, peace, peace... I feel so happy.

I remember my agony, my pain and how I thought this would never stop

and the despair I felt at that thought. And now it´s over. I can´t

describe my happiness.

This is from one of my first posts:

" However, I have some questions. How do one handle peoples attitude

against overweight people? I hear people around me, people on TV and

even myself make malicious remarks of fat people all the time.

Everytime I meet people I am afraid that they are going to think or

say something condescending about my weight or my body. I know I

can´t stop them from saying or thinking whatever it is they want to

say or think about me, so how do I do not to get hurt? Or will I not

care anymore when I have been doing the work on this? "

I would like to answer myself now, 1½ year later.

How do one handle peoples attitude against overweight people? My

experience is that you handle it the way you handle it. You laugh, get

angry, sad, feel compassion, understanding, stress. What ever you do

is your way to " handle " it. That is what is. You can´t fool reality.

How do I do not to get hurt? You can´t. You either get hurt or you

don´t. This is something you can´t control. You can´t avoid getting

hurt by " handling " things in the right way. That is starting in the

wrong end. The hurting begins in your thoughts and not in your

actions. Take care of your thought and your actions will follow. " Free

your mind and the rest will follow " .

Will I not care anymore when I have been doing the work on this? My

expierience after doing the work on this and all my other painful

thoughts for 1 year and 8 months is that you don´t care. My daughter

and I talked about fashion yesterday and she said to me: " you couldn´t

were those clothes, with your body you would look like a chicken " . And

I started to laugh at the image of me as a big chicken, and I thought

she was absolutely right, and it didn´t bother me a bit. And I knew

that if I really wanted to were those clothes I would do it anyway,

chicken or not.

This was such a nice experience, just wanted to share it with you all.
