Hi.

My son's all time favorite color is green.

We painted the walls of the playroom GREEN--he chose the color. ;-)

Also, in Gail Gillingham's book Autistic: Handle with Care she talks of how

specific colors of green were found to be helpful in mood stabilizing in

autistic people.

my 5 yr old has a fixation/obsession/whatever you call it, with my extra large

red Indians sweatshirt. He will hand it to me and have me put it on if he sees

it adn I don't have it on. he gets real happy and excited - does hand flapping

and hugs me, and points at the bright letters. It's a red sweatshirt with

bright white / blue letters and numbers on it. I love it, and apparently so

does he :)

Does your son have a special color he likes over

all others?? I know J.S. has a green fixation. If he had the choice of

3 colors he will buy the green. Do anyone else have this with their children

where they only really like one color??

hi, i wish i had a sweater like that, it sound like fun:) my son loves purple but he dosen't demand it at much now as when he was younger. we went to an easter egg hunt when he was seven and he would'nt pick up any eggs unless they were purple. he did'nt find any and he started crying untill another boy gave him a purple one from his basket. we had a long talk about why easter hunts are supposed to be a good time when we left. i definately know how colors can ruin an outing. he was very pleased with his one purple egg though.

I don't know - he doesn't really show preference other than liking my bright red

sweatshirt. I think red must be a tantalizing color to him - with the white and

blue..
