My first post a month or so ago was regarding 2 of my 3 kids

developing eczema. I am actually thankful for the wake up call. Taking

a closer look at my oldest I have noticed he has been pale a lot, has

not grown a lot in the last year and his BMs are often loose. The last

could be explained by the amount of fruit he consumes and his mood

swings could be described by his personality type and our constant

battle to get him enough sleep.

I have taken him off of gluten (possible sensitivity?) and all eggs

(family hx of allergy) for 2 weeks. I am trying to make sure every

morsel of food that goes in his body is 100% nourishing. I am trying

to get yogurt, probiotics, CLO with centrifuged butter, bone stock,

keifer and plenty of grass fed butter. I am trying to get only soaked

GF grains and nuts in him. (All while trying to make him feel " normal "

in public.) Any other great ideas?

My last question is in regards to probiotics. I would like some

recommendations, prices and sources for purchase. I am currently

getting one from the fridge at the health food store. Probiotic 101

anyone?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Blessings,

Hi ,

The probiotic I like best is from the frige at the natural food store, DDS

Plus is the form in capsules, the company, UAS Labs, also does a powder for

children.

It seems to work better than any of the other probiotics on the market.

And it is a local product, their headquarters are in Minnetonka.

Thanks beth. I have a followup question for you all. Why is it

necessary for children to have their own probiotic? I have heard that

children need different bacteria, but in years past we all ate the

same dirt on the same food. How did nature supply the " children "

specific bacteria? What exactly are those " children " specific

bacteria? Besides, so many of the children's products have high

allergen stuff in them.

Thanks!

I would highly recommend reading Natasha McBrides book GAP Syndrome.?

Eczema is on the spectrum of autoimmune disorders related to gut health.? She

has a fairly strict diet and has had great success.? She will be at the Weston

Price Conference this fall.? Also, if your child is not growing do check the B's

and zinc.? My daughter had eczema and was seriously deficient in both B's

(especially B6) and zinc.? She is started doing much better on the Weston Price

diet with supplementation of B's and zinc.? She really thrived when we went the

next mile and put her on the GAP diet to really heal her gut.?

Best of luck

Again - I do recommend seeing Dr Hruby - - he is so

fabulous and we never would have found all this and began our healing journey

with my daughter without him.? He is on the TFMN list and just the best.
