We now have a new online medical dictionary at Medical News Today

and Medilexicon. You can search for medical terms and learn from the

thousands of explanations and definitions. The dictionary was

created by and belongs to Lippincott & Wilkins.

Where can you find the dictionary?

You will see a search box on the top-right of every web page,

titled 'Medical Dictionary'.

You can see the search box in the top third of the home page,

titled 'Medical Terms Dictionary'.

Medilexicon International Limited is a UK company which owns three

websites:

1. www.medicalnewstoday.com

Contains between 50-100 new articles each day.

2. www.medilexicon.com

Contains the world's largest database of medical, pharmaceutical,

veterinary, biotechnology and dentistry abbreviations/acronyms, plus

their meanings. The web site also has a Medical Dictionary, Drug

Searchbox, Rx US English Spellcheck, ICD-9 Searchbox, and a list of

pharmaceutical companies' addresses worldwide.

3. www.hospitalsworldwide.com

Contains a list of tens of thousands of hospitals worldwide,

addresses, web links and telephone numbers. You can search in the

Country Searchbox, or scroll down the Country Lists (column on the

right-hand-side of the home page).
