Texas Autism Advocacy Listmates:

There is a website that corresponds to this yahoogroup, it is:

www.TexasAutismAdvocacy.org

Also - additional information can be found by using the files section of the

yahoo group:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Texas-Autism-Advocacy/files/

Delivery Options:

A reminder that there are 3 delivery options for you to receive e-mails from

Texas Autism Advocacy:

1. Individual E-mail: You receive each message as it is posted to the group.

You may receive MANY e-mails in the course of the day.

2. Daily Digest: You receive ONE E-mail that contains a digest of all the

day's e-mails to the group. This is recommended for those who have work

accounts or who cannot check their e-mail often.

3. No E-mail: You will not receive any e-mail messages. You can post

information to the group, but to read messages from the group, you will need to

log on to the website to read the messages.

List Etiquette:

If you are on DIGEST - please do NOT hit " reply " when you want to answer an

e-mail or post a comment. If you are on DIGEST - PLEASE cut and paste the body

of the message you are replying to - and compose a new message to reply. If

you just hit " reply " to a digest format - you are sending the ENTIRE Digest to

the whole group again! Yes it takes a bit more time to reply to a digest

e-mail - but your fellow listmates will love you if you take those extra steps!

And they will curse you if you don't! Trust me - I get the complaints!

List Cautions:

This is a public list - although messages are only able to be read by

members-only - I cannot always control who those members are. I have heard from

a listmate - that another listmates posts to this group were included in an open

records request from a school district. So use caution when naming names and

being specific about a public school. There may be school administrators on

this list who monitor posts, etc.

Autism is a very silent world; but the potential in that world speaks

volumes.... Texas Autism Advocacy: www.TexasAutismAdvocacy.org

" There are some aspects of a person's life that we have no right to

compromise. We cannot negotiate the size of an institution. No one should live

in one. We cannot debate who should get an inclusive education. Everyone

should. We cannot determine who does and who does not get the right to make

their own choices and forge their own futures. All must. "
