Guest guest
Hi I think I've found a good doc. in San . I'll let you all know after my first appointment, but he tested for adrenial fatigue, put my daughter on t-4 that was componded..and says I have very low vit. d. Has anyone heard of vit. d 3? he wants to put me on that. He said vit. D1 and 2 wouldn't work only 3 for me since my levels were so low. I thought vit. d was vit. d. Does anyone have a clue? Guest guest
Did he test for the free Ts or just TSH? Does he prescribe Armour? T4 only doesn't sound so good. As for Vit D, go to mercola's website, he talks a lot about it, pretty intelligently, I think. Terijo
Guest guest
Yup, Vitamin D-3 is the one you need when you are supplementing like that. I was on prescription compounded Vitamin D 50,000 IU twice a month a couple years ago when I was seeing an endo. Stopped seeing him and taking the Vitamin D, but I've not had any low test results since then. - To: Texas_Thyroid_Groups From: fibrojay@...Date: Wed, 9 Jul 2008 11:33:42 -0400Subject: Re: vit. D vit. d 3? Vitamin D3 is the one you need. Many of the pills are D2 and the body does not assimilate that as well. My husband was given a medical dose (prescription only) of 50,000 units for four weeks, then 50,000 units once a month for six months to bring his low Vitamin D up. I take 2,000 units a day.
