Guest guest
Hello everyone. I'm new to the group. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia almost 7 ears ago at 17 years old. I'm now 23 and stuggling toact my age. Is there anyone who has any suggestions. I've tried it all and I have an appointment with my rheumatologist in 2 days. I'm willing to try anything since I want to go to med school. Is there anyone here around my age? My friends try to understand but don't, I feel they get upset that I can,t keep up with them. Thank you Karisa

Guest guest
Hi I am I am 28 so sort of your age. I have some recommedations but I dont know what you have tried! I know its hard but it is possible to live thru this. As for med school I hope you will be able to find a way to do it part time? The most important lesson I have learnt is to pace activities and know your limitations. Listen to what other people say and then make your own decisions and only tell them what they need to know! Its hard to learn you can only do so much with this conditon. I have FM, Chronic fatigue syndrome, dystonia (which put me in a wheeklchair) and I am hearing impaired. But I still manage to play viola and violin and I want to teach. You may like to read my blog. Anyway I dont know if this has helped at all. ----- Original Message ----- From: kngauger Hello everyone. I'm new to the group. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia almost 7 ears ago at 17 years old. Guest guest
Thank everyone for your input and kind words. My doctor has decided that with my overloaded schedule, more meds is the option.
