Guest guest
No Remorse No Remorse Dear Families, Without any remorse, Bush and his cronies denied health coverage to millions of kids just before the Christmas holidays. The State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) has strong bipartisan support and would have provided health coverage to low-income children across the country. But the President said no. Twice. Next week the House of Representatives will attempt to override the President's second veto of the State Children's Health Insurance Program. This means that you have another chance to sound off for children's health. Tell your member of the House of Representatives to override Bush's veto. Tell him/her to stand up for children's health and stand against the President and his allies who voted against the program. Take action now. Every child deserves a trip to the doctor. But with the slowing economy, affordable health care will be harder to come by for many families. Children of low-income working families should not be denied care because they can't afford private coverage and because the President is stubbornly and ideologically opposed to this bill. Join our effort in overriding the President's (second) veto of children's health care. Take a minute to send a message to your member of the House before next week's override vote. Click here to send a message. Thanks for helping to continue our drumbeat for children's health. The more your voices are heard, the better chance we have of winning this battle.
