WOW, I don't envy your sleep patterns. I sleep a couple hours then awake for 30-60 min. I force myself to lay back down. One night it was really bad though & I organized 3 years of tax papers! The insomnia was much worse while I was on lortab for the kidney stones. My elavil is only 10 mg -- what a difference.

TTYL, Take care,

Hi . I know how you feel girlfriend - I sometimes think that insomnia is the worst symptom of the hep c . Nothing seems to help plus you have to take care what drugs you take because of the hep ! Talk about catch 22 . My doc won't give me anything stronger than ativan . I take elavil for numbness in one leg & foot - 100 mg at bed time but it doesn't help me sleep . I can stay awake for 24 to 36 hours at a time , then I'll crash out for 5 or 6 hours & I'm up for another 24 or 36 . It messes up my life something wicked !

I have no idea what your pain is about but if it's not upper right then it's not liver . I get some really bad pain there but it's not a steady pain & it usually comes only if I've been a bad girl & gotten drunk .

Hope you find what's causing that pain or at least find something that gives relief from the pain .

Good Luck ,

Suzie

It will take 2 months to get me off prozac, then I don't know if they'll make me wait another month for the new stuff to kick in. We may very well end up starting together. I don't know what kind of doc did my biopsy, but he did it in radiology with a CT scan for guidance. I got in for it in 2 weeks and it might have been sooner if not for Thanksgiving.

My kids (14 & 16) live here with me & my dog, they just weren't here last night. My dog climbs up on me when I cry and licks my tears away. She also likes to sit on my shoulder like a baby when I'm at the computer -- which makes it hard to type. lol

OMG! I have to go to work in 20 min and haven't dried my hair, dressed or makeup. Have a great day everyone. An old man told me once that God gives us a good day every day, it's up to us to make it great.

Love,

,

I have to wait until after a biopsy before I can get started on tx . My liver doctor is setting up the biopsy - he's an infectious diseases specialist & doesn't do them himself so he has to get a surgeon - the only doc in town who does biopsies so who knows how long that will take . My next appointment with the liver guy is Feb. 25 ! Depending on how ling it takes to wean you off (paxil, was it?) & start you on the new - maybe we could be treatment buddies ! Maybe not but who knows- it could happen.

Just remember - This too shall pass !

Suzie & Spyke P.S. I too live with an animal no, not a man - my baby kitty Spyke - who gets really upset if I scream or cry (then he runs around crying & tries to kiss it better.)

I have a friend in Ontario with many medical problems. She's self-employed if that tells you what kind of insurance she has. If I need to, I can check with her and see if she knows any ways around your red tape.

, I have no idea when or even if I'll be starting tx. I'm scheduled for a biopsy on Feb 5 , but I know this guy is going to want to do things his own way , so I'll probably have to go for a second one - don't ask it's a long story involving needles & scar tissue. Then there's always the financial question - I have a drug program through the Ontario gov't but they make you jump through hoops when it comes to the expensive drugs especially the ones which don't have a high cure rate .My doctor says not to worry , he can get it for me but you know doctors they think they're higher beings. I've decided to take it one day at a time & not sweat the small stuff. (and no , I've never been in a twelve step program, I just know a lot of people who were.)Suzie

I was thinking mine was tx related.

Yeah - What is this ? I've been getting this for three or four months but didn't think it was hep related 'cause I've never had it before. I thought it was from talking all the time on the job, throat strain or something. Is it hep related ? I'm clearing my throat every couple minutes. Suzie Motley wrote:

Here's an HCV topic. What is with this gook in my throat and constantly having to clear it? Drives me crazy!
