Guest guest
Howdie all! I have been doing the work for about a month now, and am curious for some advice from people who have done the work longer then me. I just noticed a whole set of judgments about someone i just met- and wrote them all down- and there are over 30! Yowsa! So I know the basic process of inquiry and turnaround- the question is- do I do that for ALL of the thoughs? xo, Seth _______________________ ~My homepage: www.outbeyondideas.com ~Too busy to save the world? Undoing that one usually undoes the rest. If not, then inquire on the the thought with the second biggest emotional content. Your Work is not done till you are laughing at the insanity of it all. LOL ... well that's my story. Loving what is, angel, and that would be you. Neo
Guest guest
Hey Neo- Thank you for your response! I like that idea and was sort of headed that way anyway. As for " laughing at the insanity " .... well, I'm not there yet- but it sounds like fun to me! xo, Seth > > Howdie all! > > > > > > So I know the basic process of inquiry and turnaround- the question > > is- do I do that for ALL of the thoughs? > > > > > Hey Seth, > > Personally I would inquire on the thought which brought up the > strongest feelings in me first. > > Undoing that one usually undoes the rest. I'm sure I could find over 100 with anyone I meet if I would sit down to it! said something like this somewhere: " It's a tree! That's a judgment. Who told you it was a tree? " Good/bad, long/short, red/green, hot/cold, these are all judgments, and so far I can always think of a perspective from where the judgment simply isn't true. But many of these judgments don't really bother me. I investigate the ones that cause me stress, if I feel like it. If I don't feel like investigating, I don't. Guest guest
Dear Seth, I think suggests (maybe it was someone else?) to take the five most important ones and do the work on them. When I had not heard of this I used to write beliefs down as they arose, and do the work on them the way they arose. I went on adding beliefs to the list that arose. This way the more painful ones had to wait, though. When I saw this, I stopped doing the beliefs that did not feel so painful, or even interesting. I believe I still have this list, somewhere. I recall an occasion a few months ago where I felt really hurt. I started writing down beliefs I thought I had. Then I wrote an imaginary letter to the person that was the main target of my pain. Then, I took out the beliefs that I saw in them. I ordered them from the most painful ones, down to the " lightest " . And started doing the work from the top. At a certain point, thoughts seemed just 'recycled', as I had already (un-)done them. So I just turned them around to see their truth. What I do now is to do a lot of works that are being added to this list. When you read others works, and answer the questions that are asked by yourself, you facilitate. That is the only way to facilitate, because the only one to be facilitated, is you. For the time being I am waiting for a painful belief, so now I do beliefs on the ones that arise, or not. If a thought is stressful, and I can not " work " on it right now, I write it down, and (un-)do it later. As much for your question: sort them by how much they hurt, and undo them in that order. You will either do the list to the end, or stop sooner.
