Guest guest
Hi Kristi - A couple comments to share from my experience: 1) My DH loves to surprise the rest of the family and began us on probiotics in a clandestine fashion a couple years back. My toddler son and I were gassy / crampy after a couple smoothies he made, and he later fessed up to hiding the " friendlies " in the smoothies. Lesson learned for us was to start small and work up the dosage. No more issues. 2) My 2nd DS who is 20 mos now was gassy / fussy as a newborn and also had mild red rash on his face. Turns out he was dairy intolerant. His symptoms reduced dramatically when I pulled 100% of the dairy, sugar, and chocolate from my diet. After a year of the protocal Will outlines in his post, my son can now tolerate dairy quite well and his immune system seems to be improving. 3) I did begin giving my DS the probiotics directly (just a small pinch to begin) when he was 5 weeks old. We used Garden of Life brand as it worked better for us than others we had tried. It took 6-8 weeks of daily probiotics before we began seeing significant improvement in my infant son. Just keep the faith.... Best wishes,
