[DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Songs and nursery Rhymes

Hello, We are about to move from Brazil to the US (NYC area) and I am tryingto get (3 y 10 mo) used to the English Language. Do you recommend any sites with the current childrens songs andnursery rhymes that would be useful for her to know ? (is there a sitewhere I can download them ?). She is in a very receptive phase - repeats back anything we tell her.We are teaching her numbers, colors, simple questions - whats yourname, how old are you.Do you think there will be a problem with her evaluation, since shecan communicate, but not in English, or they would ask me to ask herquestions, etc ? Any tips to how these evaluations go ?Tks a lotPat mum to , Brazil, going to NY.

I would imagine, especially in a large city like New York, that

they would be able to have an evaluator who is fluent in Spanish (or Portugese)

Just let them know ahead of time that she needs that.

Here are a few sites:

This is a cool site…has nursery songs from around the

world…in English as well as the other languages.

here are more songs:
