Guest guest Posted August 11, 2008 Report Share Posted August 11, 2008 I don't take probiotics, but I have made home-cultured and fermented foods a part of my daily diet in addition to removing refined flours and sugars. I also don't take antibiotics. Years ago, before this complete change in diet, I took antibiotics regularly. My digestive system was trashed. I had acid reflux so bad that it scarred my vocal cords. Now, as far as I can tell, my digestive system functions quite well. Right now in my kitchen, I have in various stages: kefir, yogurt, 2-day sourdough rye bread, sauerkraut, pickles, and wild grape wine. I'm looking forward to trying my hand at making kombutcha.
