Sounds like your MRSA is still active. If it is and you go into the hospital

for more surgery, your infection could worsen and you could also pass it on to

other people. Please check with your doctor.

medically resistant staph aureus - very tough to treat as it is resistant to a

lot of antibiotics. Good luck. You will have to use very strong antibiotics to

get rid of it. Be carefl with surgery and let surgeon know about the infection.

Yeah, I got it following a stay in the hospital. I had to take IV antibiotic (

can't remember the name of the antibiotic) they had to give it me twice a day IV

in my home and mine was resistant . Mine was on my elbow. Good luck...Joan

It is " Methicillin Resistant Staphlococcus Aureus " I work in a chronic

wound center and we see a whole lot of this and it is very serious. You

usually need to be treated by IV antibiotics that the infection is NOT

resistant to. That is for the doctor and the lab to figure out. You

definitely should not have any invasive procedures until this is cleared
