Pat: Congratulations! I hope it has become real in your mind. "Non-detectable" is just a weird term that I had associated with posts from groups, research, Hep. Information handouts etc. It was as if it was a strange new word when my Doc associated it to "My Hepatitis."

I'm not sure, it could have been the general overwhelm and constant "brain fog" that made hearing "your viral level is non-detectable" difficult to really grasp. Maybe being male and over 50 helps to block or deny new information. With grief and lost I understand there are mental and emotional process to go through to accept change, but do we also have to learn to appreciate something we really want or have worked hard for.

I apologize to the group, if this experience is something that only occurred to me and the time you spent trying to figure this babble out has been a waste. I just found it weird and unexpected. On Friday the 6th, I got confirmation that I continue to be non-detectable nine months post TX. I went right back to cleaning up around the kitchen without any immediate reaction. But the gratitude intermittently sunk in.

If anyone else is processing important information post TX. please post a message about it. This is strange enough to me to wonder if it could be residual sides from interferon.

Thanks Jo: I think your on to something. I'm having a little trouble trusting much of anything these days. I need to check twice to make sure I've got my shoes on. Numb feet and protruding gut. Mike

Faith is the ability to not panic.
