Guest guest
One other thing, after having the myelogram, I WILL NOT have another needle placed in my spine! I realize this post wasn't for me..specifically..but THANKS for posting it. I learn a lot from you all. May I ask about your comment about not having more needles in your spine?? Is that because of the " crumbling " problem?? Jan @->--
Guest guest
I was referred to the pain clinic at my hospital after my last lumbar surgery for ESI's and have had two so far, the first one I thought surely would kill me, the pain during the injection was horrible, but afterwards I felt much better. Had another one two months later and the pain during was much less severe, don't know why. So far I have gone three months this time, just checking in each month with the Dr. there to see how my pain levels are and he said to let him know when I felt like I needed another, but I am starting to get worried with all this talk about the problems that can stem from these injections. Do you all think I should worry or just see how it goes. I know things are different and vary from person to person, but I definitely don't want problems that will make me worse down the road, I have enough now. Any thoughts on this? In other words physically the procedure is the same but location and meds differ.
Guest guest
, If you've had two already and they have helped then in a while if you feel it wood be beneficial you should definitely have the third and don't worry about it. I had my second one yesterday and it seems to be helping a bit. It seems to me that the people who are not helped are against them and the people that are helped say they are ok, so you kind of have to form your own opinion. But as you say every body is different. Good luck. Jeff-NY/PA jeffreyscharff@... AKA zinsdad@... " Knowledge speaks, but wisdom listens. Guest guest
Jan, I don't know about any crumbling problem, the only one I know of is the pain and hurt after the needles. No one will ever touch my back with a needle again. The pain clinic suggested Botox shots. I just as nicely as I could said NO THANKS!!!!!!!!! Probably blew a good thing but I went through so much with the steroid shots that I would rather not. If you know what I mean. donna
