Cindee,

I was approved for the DS in March of 2004. I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield

HMO Cal Pers Preferred Plan. The program fee is still $2,000.00 I also heard

that as of 1/2005 Blue Cross/Blue Shield will no longer be contracted with

Delano Regional Medical Center. I called Blue and they said that they were

still

trying to work out the contract. I also called Delano Medical and they said

the same thing. After calling both of these I called Dr. K's and they read me

the memo put out by DRMC stating that they are still working on keeping

everything as is.

So, if he has Blue, he might want to check and be sure that they will still

cover his hospital stay after the first of Jan.

Good luck to all three of you.

Cheri

we have Healthnet HMO and got approved. they denied me at first and

I called them and talked to the lady who was part of the decision. I

told her if I was not approved, they would be paying more money for

all the health problems I was and would be dealing with. Within a

week, I was approved. Now Im waiting for my hernia repair to be

approved.

Cindee,

I had United Health Care POS - 2 1/2 years ago - and they approved

and paid without a hitch. Not sure if they still do though.
