Of course I can....I'm just smiling at your ultimate question of which

I don't get it either. It seems like a silly experiment.

Consciousness born into a body so that consciousness can mistakenly

mis-identify to that which it is not (body, world, thoughts) - this

causes pain and suffering - to end this pain and suffering

consciousness inquires and re-identifies to the truth of that which it

is (nameless, formless Self).

The why mystifies me. Not sure the why is as important as the journey

itself.

The question, as I see it, is what is the point of " purpose " in a world

which is whole, perfect and complete. Isn't the purpose of purpose to

transform What Is into something it is not yet? We are so attached to the

thought that what does not exist is so much more important that what does.

There is no purpose. Reality is empty and meaningless. In this I find

freedom. I find that all of the meanings I thought existed outside of my

self, don't. All of the meaning I perceive emanates from my thinking; from

the stories I tell, from the stories I agree with.

So there is no meaning, much less a meaning to purpose. Purpose is a

concept, and all concepts are false. A concept is a snapshot taken of

Reality through a lens that only sees part of the picture. It is a map, and

the map is not the territory. -

It simply means...go outside your home...look up ( of course during the day )

and ask the sun....what is your purpose?

Find a rose bush around...and ask....what is your purpose?

I really mean...that you do it. It's a simple experiment...a simple process.

Rose does not answer your question in your language.

That does not mean there is no answer.

Rose does not say...I have a purpose.

and it also does not say...I don't have a purpose.

and interestingly human mind understands life as black or white and the reality

is life is neither black nor white. It's gray.

What I mean by this?

Some will believe....Rose has a purpose.

and some will believe...Rose does not have a purpose.

each statement is one side of the coin.

The moment you breathe in...really breathe in...deep belly breathing...slow

....deep...gentle...relaxed....both the statements....

you will suddenly have a certain harmony between you and the rose...a certain

relationship...a certain connectedness.

and the language of the rose will become very clear.

I do not understand Chinese language...or Japanese.....

And if I go to China or Japan...and..just because I don't understand...if I

label...Chinese don't speak...or Japanese don't speak...that would be sheer

stupidity.

Similarly as I said...life is a little this and a little that...no fixed

answers...sometimes this...and sometimes that...

get hooked to 'this' ... and you miss the flow...as life is now happening

in....' that '....

Rose is speaking to you very loudly....and your mind is looking for an answer in

english...or whatever language you speak....

Rose is speaking a different language....

So for me...Life has a purpose...is a belief

Life does not have a purpose...is a belief.

any belief is a box ...I call black or white...yes..or no...

Take some time...really take some time for yourself....find a rose...and try

this process.

Rose is a simple place to begin this journey.

The purpose...is unfolding there...as life is happening there....

Once you learn the art...you can try the same process with mountains...and

lakes...and rivers...and ocean....

DON'T HURRY. Speed is not important here.

Once you get the knack...the art....then move on to other objects...

And then finally...look into the mirror...see that beautiful face...and ask the

same question...what is your purpose?

and wait for the answer.

Where I went with it was that asking a person to tell me something

is just like asking the sun or a rose to tell me something. They

don't have my answer...and neither do other people, even though many

of them seem to speak the same language I do. I'm the one who gives

me my answers. And I love the analogy of thinking that I'm talking

to a rose when I'm speaking to a person. I don't notice many, if

any, expectations of a rose. They can sure be there when I interact

with people, though!

Hi Satish,

I was thinking of my boyfriend being the rose that would wake up. He

was sleeping when I was writing the post, so I was musing about

interacting with him as if he were a rose -- watching my

expectations.

Even assuming that he will wake up from sleeping keeps me in the

future, though, so I am appreciative of your question: Why do you

pretend to believe that my rose will wake up later?

I don't know how to answer your question - for you. Inside you, lies

the answer - for you. May I suggest you ask yourself, get quiet and

wait three days and see what happens? Answers don't always comes

instantly but take time.

I invite you to consider doing this and allow yourself the pleasure of

realizing that everything you need, all your answers are in your own hear.

but I really dont get the difference between the

goals we set in our life

for example

i m a student

and at present my goal is to achieve something in my

life...im a engineering student ...

i want to become an excellent engineer in my field and

also i want to keep my parents HAPPY ..make thier

dreams come true ...i want to just keep them very

happy ...

actually this my purpose of my life ....

and also i want to do somethings for ...

small children

i want to open SCHOOL for them

now at this moment i place my whole life on this

but actually now im in depression state

i really feel bad that i cant do anything now

You are talking too much.

You say....really ur simple experiment is simply wonderful....

I don't think or feel that you had any courage or interest to do the experiment.

If you would have really done the experiment...really spent some time in silence

with the rose....

really allowed yourself to connect with the rose....

there was a possibility for you to connect with life.

I understand that for you it is difficult to relate with yourself right now. And

that's ok.

So I suggested a rose.

Rose by itself has no meaning.

You can connect with a dog...a cat...anybody will do.

In Japan, I have heard...they have Zen gardens...some of the gardens have only

rocks or sand...

And when that connection happens....even rocks become alive....

For now, begin with a rose.

In my experience gamblers ( risk takers ) are more closer to truth than

philosophers.

I understand you as a philosopher....only philosophising about life and

problems.

Go out...breathe some air...see a rose ( in the process if you are lucky, you

might find a beautiful girl friend too...one never knows...what's ahead....)

You have to take the risk of getting out of your house...and really making an

effort to find the rose and do the experiment.

Try to remain depressed...for more than 45 min....

Meditators have worked for life times...to be in one state of mind...meditative

state.

It is life times of work.

And if you can remain in one state..depressed state...for more than 45 min.

You'll be enlightened.

Remember , even to do this...it is work.

Any borrowed answers will not satisfy your thirst....

Do the work....get connected with the source within....
