Guest guest
Music to my ears Joe and Joy - ya'll have a fantastic trip!! hugs, cindy lee in DFW > Hi all. Joe Frost and wife Joy Frost here. > > Well we have embarked on our first " real " vacation in a couple of years. We've traveled extensively to Oregon and California but always for medical reasons. This time it's simply for the hell of it. I have had to have my legs wrapped because of extensive leg and ankle swelling and get the wrappings changed weekly. But now because of sharply increased protein the running sores on my legs have healed and I'm able to wear support hose. 24-7, but I can take them off to shower. It's about time! > > In any case we are now in Dallas where Joy is visiting family and friends she grew up with. We came up here on Monday and I've got a good high speed internet connection here at the hotel. On Friday we leave for 3-1/2 weeks in Bonaire, the island next to Curacao and Aruba where we have a condo. I may be strong enough to scuba dive. We'll see. But at least we can snorkel and Joy can scuba dive for sure. And we can lay around on a beach, eat out, and just get away from all our medical problems for a while. We'll probably have intermittent internet service there, but I'm really not sure what will be available. I know there's an internet coffee shop near the condo at least. I'll just have to see when we get there. > > So if you don't hear much/anything from us for a month or so, that's why. I haven't died off - not yet anyhow. > > Regards. > > Joe Frost, old gentleman, not old fart > http://www.duodenalswitch.com/Patients/Joe/joe.html > San , TX, 63 years old > Initial Surgery 11/29/00 by Dr. Welker > Revision 11/20/01, also Dr. Welker > Final revision & reversal, 2/24/04, Dr. Ara Keshishian > Lateral Gastrectomy with Duodenal Switch > High, 400, 340 DS surgery weight, currently 190 > > >
Guest guest
Good for you Joe and Joy! So glad to hear that you are able to do these wonderful things! When I 1st joined the group last year, you weren't doing so well. I love reading your posts Joe, and it is absolutely heart-warming to hear of how well you are doing now. I know it's been a long, hard road...but you've been a real encouragement to so many of us. I wish you all the best, and a wonderful vacation with your sweetie...Luv and hugs, Deb :-) ***************************************************************** > Hi all.
