What did your doctor have you do? , I wore mine in the hospital and am still using compression on my scars after eight months to smooth and minimize them. Guest guest
The Binder...the hated binder. My tummytuck was outpatient and I went home with a binder on. It did not interfer with the drains...for one thing the drains came out from my mons area. My surgeon likes to place the drains there because the bush hides the scars left from the drain holes. When I went in at 3 days post op the doctor took a pair of sissors and cut the binder around the top to make it smaller and fit me better...he said wear it for a couple weeks. After that I switched from the binder to a tight girdle type panty. The tightness felt good and panties felt alot better than the binder. I wore that type panty for about 6 months. Guest guest
I too wore my binder after my TT and hernia repair, it felt wonderful!! The support was nice! Yes it was a bit annoying, but it was well worth it to have that nice, snug support throughout the weeks after the TT/HR. It didn't interfere with my drains at all wither, I only had 2 drains, and then they inserted another several weeks after surgery to drain the serous fluid that had built up in the mons area. But the binder was a blessing, at least I didn't feel like I had to walk around protecting my tummy with my arms all the time! I still wear snug support panties from s Secret because tra support!
