I take several other medications but the Neurontin is the cheif medication that gives at least partial relief to neuropathy pain. I have never taken Gabitril. I believe it is also an antiseizure medication. I do take Tegretol and it is in the same classification. I do not like what it does to my memory but I haven't found an alternative and will take it until I do. It is also inconvenient to have to take it every 6 hours but I am glad to have something that truly helps. It helped a bit with neuropathic pain, butthe twitching, forgetting the most basic of things, weight gain- it just did more harm than good- not to mention my son who has schizoaffective disorder was put on it too and the drug co was saying there was virtually no ceioling on how much you could take....just turned me off. My feet hurt very bad at times with no relief. I also take primidome (for tremors) as well. Thanks for the info and knowing that I'm not the only one.
