Ellie....I travel full time with my cat and dog who are both 10 years old

now ( I have been traveling for four years).Hobbies ...my cat who had for

six years always gone out when he wanted and stayed out as long as he wanted

found out ...if he wanted to go out he had to be on a leash and harness...we

found out that if we let him pick the direction and followed him(unless

where he wants to go is off limits) all is fine..then a gentle tug and wait

for him ...he will go our way....we also let him sit out side our motor home

when we park ....on a twenty foot lead...This keeps him happy ..so give it a

try...just be sure the harness fits snuggly and leave it on the ALL the

time..they do get used to it after a bit...They will not be happy campers at

first , but don't give up...they do get to enjoy going out that way when

they FINALLY realize there is no other choice .This is not just my

experience..... but many other " full timers " as we modern day gypsies are

called...Good luck ..Lilyen

There is a guy who walks his cat on a leash here in the park. I thought it

was a dog the first time I saw him. Looked really funny to see the cat on a

leash. We have harnesses for the ferrets, That's what's hard to keep on a leash.

I swear if these animals die, We're not replacing them! Between ferret

food, iguanna's who want fresh squash, and guinea pig food, It's always them or

the kids wanting something!

LOL,I understand that,that is one reason we don't get a dog,just

can't afford the food for them...We have gold fish that will come

to the suface of the water and nibble at your fingers...lol

had a cat named angel and she put a collar on him and

took him for a walk...I should say drug him for a walk, when they

got home the pads of the poor cat were bleeding once she saw

that she never took him for a walk again...lol

Guess I better get to bed, as the am will be here far too soon,

and it will be church time...

I have taken a couple of vicatins[sp] as I guess I am going to

have to have an mri on my other sholder and probley get a shot

in it...

Mel you take care of yourself and get this lump taken care of so

that will be a worry off your mind..and get that tt so you will

feel better...

Take care and God bless

Oh lord pat ! I had a flashback when you told this. When we moved here we had

a black lab. His name was buddy. He kept climbing the fence and we had to

give him to someone in the country because he kept getting out of the fence and

scaring the bejesus out of the mailman. decided one day he would walk

him. Drug him, fighting the whole way, around the block...The poor dog was

dripping blood of of his feet after they got back. You'd have thought after a

little bit they'd walk to avoid pain in the paws....!! Anyway our mail man who

reportedly once pepper sprayed a squirrel, kept putting us on " dog hold " for the

mail and we couldn't control him. He got loose once and when found

him he had been on the next block. The guy said that he was fixing a sandwich

and the kitchen door was open...Said this big black lab ran in his house grabbed

a bag of doritos and hauled paws out the door. That was the final straw, we

figured we better send him to the country for his own good.

Thanks for the good wishes about the breast thing. Like I said I'm just

tired of it all. Just want it ALL over with.
