Hi, --

Guess I'm lucky, too, as I just happened to show my orthopedic surgeon

my legs to see if he had an idea what the red lumps were. (I was

there for a carpal tunnel followup.)

He asked if I was diabetic and after ruling that out, he immediately

said it was Erythema Nodosum. He said the usual suspect where I live

is Valley Fever and he sent me posthaste to my primary care physician.

In fact, he even called her to discuss it with her!

Not sure if cocci is really what the problem is as I have chronic Lyme

disease, chronic Epstein Barr virus and have been a high doses of

antibiotics for several months. Could be any of those things from

what I've read.

At least my doctor is treating what she thinks is the underlying cause

so she is taking it seriously.

Take care,

Betty B
