Dan,

I am sure that you are a wonderful person & it would be a shame to listen to

someone who told you that you were " no damn good " . She was probably talking

about herself when she made that statement.

I see you as a very sensitive & caring person who is also responsible. You

try to face your problems head on & you get so disappointed when you see no

end in sight. I think this is a natural & normal thing that all humans do

(the frustration when no progress is seen to be made).

Don't be so hard on yourself. I too have a hard time grasping the fact that

I may be the type of person that could & should be loved by anyone or

anything.

I may never feel as if I am worth it, I just don't know. But I am sure

trying.

Has your wife ever told you just how much she loves the idea of you having

both legs? You know I have been thinking of the advantages of having 2 legs.

There is one area that having both legs is a plus & that is during that

personal time with your spouse. Could you perhaps concentrate on the

benefits of having 2 legs? Think of things that you can do with 2 legs which

would stop being fun or couldn't be done with only one of them. It might

help some. There is also one other thing that you could try to do if that

doesn't work. You could force your attention onto something else everytime

those thoughts hit your brain. That's what I did with something that

bothered me very much and it helped me really well.

Dan,

I have to agree with Sylvia. Its a damx shame & disgrace what kinds of

emotional problems the BPS in our lives cause to happen to us. I believe

that this is connected to BP. Hell, I pretty much believe that there are

many many problems that are caused by BP parents than meets the eye or

thoughts.
