Guest guest
My son and I are SCD and I just started making muffins yesterday with a very similar recipe. Just finished one a few minutes ago...yum! Here's a question for everyone about coconut flour...it's SCD legal...yea!...and low oxalate...yea! But we're also about to start antifungals. Is this something that would feed yeast because it does contain carbs, or is it a natural antifungal, like the coconut oil? I do make the muffins with coconut oil instead of butter in hopes that it would make the muffins even better for us. Would love some feedback! Thanks so much! Guest guest
YOu make your own jams on SCD, but I would not do jams while doing antifungals...you CAN overfeed honey and other yeast feeders on the SCD...it has to be modified if you are not using it to heal crohns or UC...common sense must prevail...why take a powerful RX antifungal but then feed sugar etc at the smae time. I think tweaking like this is what pushed Stan to go Paleo with his kid...LOL I will make this bread for Matt when we are closer to being free of the yeast etc...--- In mb12 valtrex , " karicreehan " wrote: > > My son and I are SCD and I just started making muffins yesterday with > a very similar recipe. Guest guest
Have you tried ghee...the taste is not for everyone. I would think you could spread it with some coconut oil perhaps.... > > > > For those of you using SCD, my sister in law forwarded this recipe to > > me. She says it's great with jam on it.
