Guest guest
Hi Deb, My name is donna and it kind of sounds to me you should find another Dr. and maybe be checked for fybromyalgia. I only know what my daughter told me about the disease, but your symtoms sound like hers. It wouldn't hurt to try. You have to find someone that know what their doing through. Good luck donna debocp2000 wrote: Hi, I am only 34 years old and I have been dealing with worsening daily pain since the birth of my first child nine years ago. Guest guest
Hi Deb, You sound just like I did for the 15+ years it took before the doctor finally gave me a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia. They tested me for everything and anything, and having heart disease made matters worse since the idiots kept insisting on doing the same tests on my heart umpteen times. Don't give up and don't give in to the " it's all in my head " bull. Yes, with FMS stress can and will make your symptoms a lot worse, but as you said the pain is VERY real and needs to be taken care of. You need to find a good rheumatologist who is knowledgeable and willing to see a patient with FMS and/or other chronic illnesses. I wish you the best and hope you find relief soon. Guest guest
Hi Deb, It sounds like you have fibromyalgia. It is a chronic disorder and causes pain in the muscles and tissues. I have it and your symptoms sound a lot like mine. Go to google.com and enter fibromyalgia...this will give you many sites to look at read about the condition. You should really be seen by a rheumatologist. Also, have you ever been checked for carpal tunnel syndrome? You wrist pain can be from the fibro but it also sounds like carpal tunnel. A neurologist is the type of doc to see for that...they would need to do a EMG test. Good luck to you and I hope you can get some help soon. No one should have to suffer the way you have for such a long time. Please feel free to ask anything...I will try and answer. Kay
Guest guest
Hi Deb, I can understand you condition as that's where I was a few years ago. Doctor's thought I was crazy, which only added to the problem. I would venture to say that it's a possibility that you have Fibromyalgia. I was finally diagnosed with it and while I was relieved to finally have an answer it wasn't the answer I wanted. There are many sites dealing with FM and that would be a good starting point. At the moment I can't bring one up, sorry. There are certain criteria to get a diagnosis of FM. By the way welcome to the group. This is a wonderful place to ask questions, get support and generally converse with others who deal with chronic pain. I look forward to getting to know you. Kathleen in Calif.
