The Dr. won't give me stronger because my problem will get worse as I age. Just try and fine a good Dr. and talk to him. Pain is a fiend. I am sorry for your pain. d.berg > > > >

I know what your feeling I have had chronic pain for 12 years and have forgotten what it's like to not hurt. I take lots of meds and still hurt. I take one day at a time and try to remember that someday it will end. lol. Isn't that wishful thinking. lol. I also use biofeedback and nature tapes and try to relax and kind of help get the pain to a tolerable level sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Just try and keep your spirits up. And find a good pain management doctor. Here's hopeing you find a happy medium. Hugs p.s e-mail me if you need to vent.
Guest guest
Hi there, I'm late in going thru my emails so this may have all ready be suggested to you, but here goes. Have any of your doctors suggested a pain clinic to you? I have been a patient with a pain clinic for many years now. For over 15 years before that I suffered, occasionally having medications and treatments to help but not on a regular basis so I could get any lasting help. That has changed now since being with my current doctor. I still try different treatments and medications and some help and some don't. I'm always searching for new ideas to help with chronic pain. I would think that this would be the way to go. Not all pain clinics are the same though. It's important, at least for me, that a pain clinic be willing to work with me in finding relief. I know my body and how it works. Not all doctors appreciate this. Also it was important to me when looking for a pain clinic that they also be willing to prescribe appropriate medications to help relieve pain. For me that's narcotics. Not all people are willing to do that nor do some patients want it. I hope this helps and as I said this may have all ready been suggested to you. Kathleen in Calif.
