Interesting about therapist statements-warning on this!!!

I called a BPD's therapist to express concern as she had been

threatening suicide at our church. It was a game she played - NOT

telling her therapist. So she calls me and tells me her therapist is

upset at ME for calling and harassing her - silly me - I let that upset

me. (By the way, I am not related to this BPD and that is my last tie

in with her - I set my boundaries and after telling the therapist who is

PAID to deal with her worry about her is OUT OF MY HANDS AND LIFE)!!!!!

If you brave people can cut ties with parents who are out of control, I

surely can with someone unrelated (my father has mellowed and so far

behaves himself well enough I'm not cutting him off).

The truth is the BPD KNOWS the regulations, therapists are NOT allowed

to talk to people about their clients without the client giving

permission. My guess is her therapist let her have it - one cue is that

this BPD mentioned she is going to pay me the money she owes me (first

time she's started to be responsible)!!

So, take this as a reality check - BPD's know how to work the system and

can say whatever they want about their therapists because without their

permission we'll NEVER KNOW!!!!!!

(Training to be a therapist so I'm learning the regs myself - glad to be

of service!!)
