Guest guest
do you have any texture books for your son? there are some that have different textures in them : soft cloth, sandpaper, fuzzy material, etc. or you can even make your own. you can get a poster board and then go by some supples: sand paper, cotton, cloth, beads, etc. A craft store would be a great place for this. cut out little squares of each texture, and glue that onto the poster board. perhaps he'd enjoy feeling the different textures. and you can label them . for the beads, you can glue them onto a piece of paper, adn then glue that onto the poster boards. > As I said before, my son used to do this a lot. But for the past few days, he has taken to crinkling all the paper he sees into little balls. Including papers that are important to me. Sigh. I'm assuming this is along the same lines as the ripping, and he enjoys the feeling or something. > > > http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Bluffs/2654/ > > Re: Digest Number 197 > > > In a message dated 1/27/01 8:38:50 AM !!!First Boot!!!, > autism-aspergers@y... writes: > > > > Get back to us Andy after sucking in an hour's worth of newspaper-rippin' > >dust. > > > >Even those who intellectually know that the cat is causing the child's > >allergies or asthma still rationalize keeping the pet in the house. > > > >Paper tearing is a health hazard to everyone in the house unless done > >upwind of a ventilation system or outside. > > > > Hi I'm new here, but this post caught my eye because my Ivy, age 2.10 loves > to rip up magazines.
