, If I even stand near the window in the house and get direct

sunlight on me, I break out in hives, and wearing sunscreen does not

seem to make any difference at all. I wore spf 35 the other day to a

funeral and still my face was itching and looked like it had been

attacked by ants within minutes of getting in the car. Covering up

completely seems to help some, but I don't think I can handle 110

degree days wearing long pants, long sleeves, and a hat and gloves! I

think I would rather live like a vampire and just go out at night!

This is MISERABLE!!! I thought maybe it was a reaction to my meds

(though none have changed in a year or more) so I stopped all of

them, DUHH...then I was just depressed, aching, and miserable, AND

itchy! Right now I am just taking lots of Benadryl, and carrying my

cortisone cream and Benadryl cream and sprays with me everywhere (The

trip to Vegas was awful, I itched all the way there and home).

As long as I avoid the sun completely I am OK most of the time, but

now my skin has gotten so sensitive that even wearing certain

clothes, or shoes, or reading a book and having the pages brush my

hands and fingers causes me to break out. Ray kissed my back the

other day and every spot he touched had welts within minutes, I put

away dishes and every spot that the knives and forks brushed against

had welts, I can sit on a chair and have welts and hives covering me

with minutes from the fabric or the seams.....I am at a

loss......LOL, I know!! I am probably allergic to dogs!!!

Nawww.....can't be that though. I went through extensive allergy

testing 2 years ago and the only things that ever showed up were

grasses and horses. I am allergic to almost every grass there is. But

no animals at all, except horses (Hmm, maybe one of our dogs is half

horse?) and I have a yard man who does our yard, plus I avoid going

anywhere neear it when it is freshly cut.

I go through this every year, starting about May and it lasts until

October or November.....it is just a lot worse this year than ever

before. I know my mother has the same problem, so did my grandmother

and great grandmother, and all just avoided the sun, and wore long

sleeves and gloves at all times. I really don't know what causes it,

or what to do about it, all I know is that I hate it!!!! I have

gotten used to staying up til daylight and then sleeping all day, but

the few times I have had to go to the store, or to a family function,

or to that wedding in Vegas, it has been a miserable, itching,

ordeal!

LOL, I even had hives down the crack of my butt the other day! Teach

me to go outside and grab the paper! I bent over wearing a short

dress and OOPS, itchy hives down the buttcrack!! No fun at all!

OK, are you done laughing yet??

Seriously, less than a minute in the sun and I can watch the hives

pop up like ant bites and nothing seems to prevent them, though

Benadryl spray has been a Godsend, and you are going to laugh at this

one, but Hartz 1% hydrocortisone spray (for Dogs and Cats) is

awesome! They used to make a hydrocortisone spray for humans, but I

have not seen it in several years, so the Pet section has a large

bottle for less than $5 and it works great!

OK, anyone have a clue about THIS problem? I can't be the only one

who itches and breaks out in hives in the sun can I?
