I'd appreciate your prayers for . Last evening, (soon to be 3) was climbing the steps of his little 3-ft. plastic slide and fell backwards landing on his back. No one saw it happen, but only saw him after he fell, and he was on his back. Of course he cried, but not for a long time... he was easily comforted in my arms. However, he couldn't/wouldn't walk. He doesn't want to put weight on his right leg and if he does it is only to take a very short and wobbly step with some fussing. We gave him his bath and let him watch a video, and he is just fine with sitting activities. He seems comfortable lying on his tummy or back, and slept pretty well, last night. He woke up a couple times, but was easily gotten back to sleep. Maybe something hurts him when he accidently turns onto his right side?He has an appointment with his pediatrician, this afternoon, but I'd like to have an idea what to expect. I can't see any swelling or bruising or unusual angle. What might be wrong? I've heard that sometimes our kids put their hips out, but would that be something I'd be able to tell by looking at him? All I can think of is that maybe he bruised his tailbone, but, if that was the case, wouldn't it hurt him to sit? An xray-tech friend said with his flexibilty and low tone and relaxed body, plus his young age, he probably didn't break anything. I'm worried about what kind of an ordeal is ahead for him, this afternoon. does not do well with strange places and strange people touching him. Pray that the problem will be identified quickly without too much trauma for him. Thanks! Notícias direto do New York Times, gols do Lance, videocassetadas e muitos outros vídeos no MSN Videos! Thanks everyone! No broken bones! The Dr. said to give Him a few

days, and if he still won't bear weight on his leg by Mon., then we

are to give him a call. Next step would be to have an orthopedic

doctor take a look at. He said it could be a mild sprain; he thought

his foot looked just a bit bruised and slightly swollen. Other

things that wouldn't be detected by xray would be a pulled muscle or

a popped tendon or injury to a growth plate. An orthopedic doctor

might order an MRI, if he felt there was cause to know more.

He didn't like the Dr.'s exam or getting xrayed but didn't totally

freak out. I guess he gets to be " king " for the next couple of days

and get carried around and waited on! But we will have to be careful

not to totally spoil him or he might get used to it and decide to

prolong his convalesence!

Thanks! and Blessings!
