Guest guest
This is the second time my 4 yr. old son has been on Ketaconazole (Nizoral) and this is the second time he has gotten strep as a result of it!! I guess it is doing it's job with the yeast, but I need to know how to get rid of this strep once and for all. The first time the pediatrician put him on a mild antibiotic (the pink stuff). My question is...my son started taking Flagyl about a week ago and is still taking the ketaconazole. Will Flagyl knock out strep as well? Should I stop the Ketaconazole for a few days and see if the Flagyl will work better at eliminating the strep? I heard Olive Leaf Extract is good, but I want something quick right now. He seems so sluggish and has little bumps on his chest and back, just like last time. I wasn't sure if different antibiotics work differently for different infections, so I wasn't sure if Flagyl would be effective. Should I take him into our useless pediatrician again?
