Update on my stupidity

Last Tues saw Rheum DR Kenik. We lowered my prednisone from 40 to 30, then set up with a apt each week for a shot to inject in the knee to hopefully keep me walking. DR McGuire, I guess still doesn’t want to touch me. Sat morning having trouble swallowing pills stick in throat and hurt to swallow my own saliva. so hub called to ask if DR Prendes was in. Yes and we got an appt that morning. He gave me an anti-fungus since on the higher prednisone, may help the throat. Also telling me to use diuretic daily. See how I was doing by Monday. Monday I was giving it another day. Tue I made another appt. My BP was 170 over forgot so he was concerned about that. AGAIN he wanted to admit me for pain control. Like you ever get any rest in a hospital. So we discussed pain control. I am now back on oxycontin. I told him that some members of a support group mentioned weed, medicinal weed to smoke for the pain. He asked if I wanted marinol? not sure of the spelling. I sort of kicked his shoe and said You know my son is a police officer.....well I looked up oxycontin and I turned down medicinal medication and took the oxycontin which when I looked it up it is similar to morphine and heroine.........I am to take 2 oxycontin a day at 10 mg and use percocet for breakthrough pain. if have break through pain then increase the next dose of Oxycontin by 10 mg. My burning pain is still burning. I couldn't stand in the sun for even a few minutes yesterday when I came out of the hospital. Oh forgot that he sent me to the hospital for a doppler to see if the legs had any clots. Was told legs looked fine. Glad I didn't have a clot. I don't like laying around in a hospital even if I do like Creighton University hospital the drs and the staff.......I guess I can blame my stupidity on prescribed medications? Not..l ~Jan aka burn.
